Overturning the anticipated effects of the coronavirus pandemic, Megaworld reports that it has booked around 415,000 square meters of office leases since the start of the pandemic early last year.

Megaworld, the country’s largest developer of integrated urban townships, grew its attributable net income by 39% to P2.6-billion in the second quarter this year compared to P1.9-billion in the same period last year, as the company benefited from its strong office leasing business and the improved performance of its retail and hospitality businesses.

Emperador Inc. – the largest global brandy company owning the world’s iconic and best-selling brandy Emperador Brandy – saw net profit to owners grow by 53% year-on-year to P5.1 billion in the first half of 2021, while revenues rose by 18% to P25.3 billion.
